🧼 General Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Brush off debris and surface dust before long-term storage
  • Clean with a non-abrasive sponge and lukewarm, detergent-free soapy water
  • Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry fully before covering or storing indoors
  • Pressure washing is acceptable if done gently
  • Store in a well-ventilated space to prevent moisture build-up

Our rope furniture is crafted using durable, weather-resistant materials designed for outdoor use.

  • Gently brush off loose debris and wipe down with a soft cloth soaked in lukewarm water
  • For stubborn dirt, use a mild, non-detergent soap solution and rinse thoroughly
  • Avoid abrasive sponges or harsh chemicals
  • Allow rope to dry completely before covering or storing
  • In coastal or damp environments, clean regularly and ensure ventilation to prevent mildew

  • Clean with warm soapy water and a soft, non-abrasive sponge
  • Rinse thoroughly with a hose to remove residue
  • In coastal areas, rinse regularly with fresh water and cover when not in use
  • Minor scratches can be refreshed using touch-up paint.

🧵 Cushion Care

Firmans “all season” cushions are designed for outdoor use but benefit from proper care.

  • Cushions should be stored away when not in use or during extended periods of severe weather
  • Most cushion covers can be removed and hand-washed in lukewarm water
  • Do not machine wash — this may damage the water-resistant lining
  • Avoid storing loose cushions under furniture covers for long periods
  • Remove spillages immediately with an absorbent sponge or cloth
  • Darker cushion colours (e.g. grey) may fade in direct sunlight — store when not in use

  • Furniture can remain outdoors year-round
